Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has promoted Brig Gen. Felix Kulayigye to the rank of acting Major General in recognition of his years of dedicated service to the UPDF.
The promotion was confirmed by the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs, highlighting Kulayigye’s invaluable contributions to the force and his instrumental role in shaping the UPDF’s public image.
“Major General Felix Kulayigye has played a pivotal role in shaping the UPDF’s public image, particularly through his position as Director of Defence Public Information,” Colonel Deo Akiiki, the Deputy Director of Defence Public Information, announced in a Tuesday press release.
“His promotion reflects his unwavering commitment to both the institution and the nation,” adds the statement.
Kulayigye got a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the Makerere University, and later a Master of Arts in Economic Policy and Planning at the same university.
The UPDF and the Ministry of Defence extended their heartfelt congratulations to Major General Kulayigye, commending him for his years of service and the significant impact he has had on the force.
