Opinion: King Saha buries his whole career by leaning on NUP in the last concerts

So last Friday, Uganda’s reigning vocalist King Saha had a successful concert in Lugogo cricket oval, also the second concert in the year after the 10 years of Spice Diana at Kampala Serena Hotel. If nothing changes, King Saha’s concert may be the best concert of the year. This is because; it broke past records already. It was full to capacity. And the sound and all performances were top-notch. And yes, Ssemanda delivered.

King Saha held a succesful concert recently and it could come out as one of the best concerts of the year according to Anecco

The highlight of the night was the presence of National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, also the guest of honor at the concert. He came, when King Saha is already on the stage. When he entered and was taking his seat alongside his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi, the mood grew tense! You could feel the presence of something heavy in their midst. Also King Saha joked that, ‘Nga enyumba ezeemu obulamu!’ loosely translated in English as the house has gained more oomph.

In my recent post on Facebook, I told you recently that Bobi Wine is in the stage of mentorship. And he has chosen to mentor King Saha, to continue his creation of revolutionary songs. Bobi Wine was the only pan-African artiste of the modern contemporary pop who not only was inspired by Jamaican artistes; he was inspired by the pan-African messages too in Reggae.

And when Bobi Wine finally elevated to politics, no any other artiste had taken that revolutionary songs approach till last year when King Saha from nowhere, started composing them. Bobi Wine readily ran and befriended him. And ever since then, Bobi Wine is seen backing up King Saha in everything, including a drop for this recently concluded concert. Even after the concert, King Saha went ahead to make a show off tweet praising NUP following on social media. This closeness seems good, fortunately or unfortunately, it’s Bobi Wine who benefits from it the most. King Saha didn’t need the backing of NUP. He was still going to fill. But now, with this partnership, King Saha’s career now will last as long as NUP is still the dominant opposition party. This means that, from today onwards, he’ll have to abide to any NUP calls without fail. If he happens to fail along the way, NUP will blast him flat.

It also helps Bobi Wine with new revolutionary songs by King Saha that he’ll use freely next year during general election campaigns.-
