Ugandan Business magnate Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia on Tuesday delivered an emotional eulogy at the final send-off of his son, Rajiv Ruparelia, hailing him as a generous, vibrant, and service-driven soul who impacted many lives in his short but meaningful journey.

Speaking at the Hindu Crematorium in Lugogo, Kampala, where Rajiv was cremated in line with Hindu traditions, the Ugandan billionaire remembered his son as a man who saw greatness in others even when the world overlooked them.

“Rajiv carried a rare maturity and an infectious zest for life. He was deeply committed to helping those in need, especially children from underprivileged backgrounds,” an emotional Sudhir said. “He quietly supported education from primary school to university. That was who he was — someone who saw potential where others saw limitation.

Rajiv, who died in a tragic motor accident on Saturday, May 3, at the age of 35, was remembered not only as the heir to one of Uganda’s most prominent business empires but also as a loving father, husband, and pillar of support for countless youth.

Sudhir recounted fond memories of their time together, including childhood travels, fishing trips on Lake Victoria, and Rajiv’s early sense of leadership. “He gave me joy, pride, and purpose,” the business mogul added. “Though your time with us was short, your impact will last far beyond your years.
