Ugandan music lovers are in for a nostalgic and high-energy treat this Saturday as legendary singer Zani Lady C is set to perform live at the World Music Day Concert at Kampala Serena Hotel.

Zani Lady C, a renowned Ugandan vocalist now based in the United States, jetted into the country last night ahead of what promises to be a historic performance. The singer, celebrated for her timeless classics, has recently reemerged in the spotlight thanks to her hit track Charles Yimirira Awo, which went viral on social media, especially TikTok.

The event line up is big

Despite the track’s overwhelming popularity online, this weekend marks the first time Zani Lady C will perform Charles Yimirira Awo live in Uganda—an exciting moment that fans have long awaited. Zani is also known for other songs like Ndoowa, Nindako, Maria, Nzembiteleza and Golo Golo among others.

The World Music Day celebration, curated to honor global music diversity, will feature a star-studded lineup of both local and international acts. Sharing the stage with Zani Lady C will be Winnie Nwagi and Elijah Kitaka of Swangz Avenue, known for their electrifying performances and unique sounds. The concert will also feature Karole Kasita, one of Uganda’s top female stage performers known for her energetic dancehall anthems. The show is organised by Urban Lyfe Productions whose CEO is legendary Singer Shanks Vivi’D and will also perform at the event.

Chley from South Africa is expected in the country later this evening

Adding an international flavor to the evening will be Chley, a renowned South African Amapiano singer will also perform at the show and she is expecting in the country this evening.  VJOJ, a UK-based Ugandan artist, and DJ Shady, who will keep the crowd on their feet with a mix of Afrobeat, dancehall, and urban vibes.

With such a dynamic lineup, the World Music Day Concert at Serena is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most memorable live music events of the year.

Tickets are already on sale, and fans are urged to grab theirs early to be part of this historic musical celebration. Ordinary tickets go for Shs150,000 an d  a golden table of Shs3,000,000 and a platinum table of 8 people also goes for shs6,000,000
