Northern Uganda was well represented as a region on Saturday during the grand finale of the 11th Miss Tourism Uganda. Lucky Atina Bianka was crowned Miss Tourism Uganda 2024/25.
Atina was among the 29 contestants from different regions who made it to the finals and she came out as the overall winner. In the position for 1st runner up was Victoria Ndamurani and Racheal Akidi the 2nd runner up.

The event kicked off a few minutes passed 8pm with the 29 girls taking to the runway as they were introduced one after the other. They performed a well-choreographed dance that was said to be the Ugandan dance. They were dressed in fitting skirts. Their outfits were made of the different colors of the Uganda national flag.

As different contestants had supporters in the crowd, the girls went into a Q and A session and as this year’s them Tourism and Peace, they were asked by the judges to advocate for peace in the Tourism industry. The 10 contestants who impressed the judges when they answered the questions correctly went to the top 10 round as the road ended for the 19 girls who misfired the questions.
Another round where the 10 contestants were asked to sell Uganda as a tourism destination also saw 5 being eliminated and the top 5 went in for the final and deciding round.
At the end of the evening after crowning that took place at around 2:30am, the winner was then taken outside in the parking where Darling Uganda, the official sponsors of the pageant handed over a brand new Toyota fielder to the lucky winner. Other sponsors of the event included Supa Loaf, Tecno, Platinum Spa and Wellness Centre, Psalms, Belle Beauty, Serena Hotel and many others.
