The Coordinator of the Office of National Chairman Hajjati Hadijja Namyalo has said Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) member and media consultant Miles Rwamiti has joined the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Namyalo confirmed the rumour during Rwamiti’s graduation party at Royal Suites Bugolobi on Friday.
Rwamiti, who graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Victoria University, is set to take on Leader of Opposition (LoP) Joel Ssenyonyi for the Nakawa West Parliamentary seat in the 2026 elections.

He made his ambitions clear as he spoke to the media, expressing his interest in running against National Unity Platform (NUP) incumbent and Leader of Opposition, Hon. Joel Sseyonyi Besekeezi.
In the 2021 general election, Rwamiti contested for the Hoima East MP seat on the Federation for Democratic Change (FDC) party card.
Rwamiti believes the Nakawa West constituency where he lives and resides is best suited for him.
Since the announcement, many people have been wondering on which ticket he would contest.
And last Friday, Hajjati Namyalo confirmed it, declaring that Rwamiti has crossed to NRM.
