Kasambya town was on Friday painted yellow during Hon David Kabanda’s visit. Hon Kabanda who is the Member of Parliament for Kasambya County organized a rally in Kasambya town and it attracted a huge crowd. The crowd that turned up for the rally were supporters of National Resistance Movement.
The rally was part of the ongoing Buganda for Museveni campaigns that are spearheaded by NRM leaders in Buganda Region. The campaign was launched by President Museveni at State House a few months ago and it was the idea of the NRM youths leaders in Buganda region. The launch of the Buganda for Museveni was graced by by the Kampala Resident City Commissioner (RCC), Ms. Aminah Lukanga, the Presidential Advisor on Greater Masaka Region Affairs, Ms. Justine Nameere and other Youth leaders from the districts in Buganda sub-region.
The campaign will help reclaim the support for President Museveni ahead of the 2026 elections and in Kasambya; it was evident that the people were for NRM and Museveni.
During his speech, Hon Kabanda said that He explained that the event was part of the expanding “Buganda Ku Museveni” campaign, aimed at strengthening President Museveni’s support throughout the Buganda region. He also added that Buganda has full support for President. The Buganda for Museveni rallies will continue in districts like Mukono, Masaka, Luwero and Mpigi among others.
