Charles Twiine, the former CID spokesperson who was later attached to Parliament police investigations section has been missing since Wednesday, according to his family.
He was last seen and heard from on Wednesday afternoon as he made his way out of the police headquarters in Naguru where he had an appointment to meet the IGP at 7 am.
According to his family Twiine’s car is still parked at police headquarters in Naguru but no clear explanation of where he disappeared to or from.
On Monday Twiine had travelled with a committee of Parliament to Mbarara but he cut his trip short after he was summoned to meet the IGP on Wednesday morning at 7.00. He travelled from Mbarara to Kampala on Tuesday night. His phones have been off since Wednesday afternoon.
The police spokesperson, Kituuma Rusoke was yet to release an official statement about the top cop’s disappearance by press time.
