Minister Kasolo while speaking at the event warned residents against falling for politicians who had no involvement in the project but are now trying to claim credit. He emphasized that the water project was a government initiative meant to benefit all residents, regardless of their political affiliations.

The project was inaugurated today by the Minister of State for Microfinance, Hon. Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo, and the Minister of State for Water and Environment, Hon. Aisha Sekindi.

At the launch, there were lots of controversies  and one of them were rumors of Kyotera County MP, Hon. John Paul Mpalanyi claiming that he was responsible for bringing the project to the area yet he wasn’t even part of it at any single point. Government officials and district leaders dismissed his claims, stating that the initiative was entirely a government effort.

The solar-powered water system is expected to greatly improve access to clean water, enhance sanitation, and promote development across the three sub-counties.
